Astrology and Horoscopes
Astrology is the belief that celestial bodies can help an individual understand aspects of
his or her personality and behaviors. Unlike psychology that is based in science, many people believe that
astrology is based on superstitions. There is a long history of astrology as many have studied the alignment of the
planets, stars, moon, and the sun to determine why a person acts the way that he or she does. The most common form
of astrology used today is zodiac signs and horoscopes.
Horoscopes are written based on the twelve signs associated with the constellations, each
representing different types of personalities that people can relate to. The twelve signs are Aries, Taurus,
Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. These signs are also tied
to the planets and elements and are determined by date of birth. For instance, someone born between the dates of
March 21 to April 20 would be an Aries.
Daily horoscopes are printed in almost every newspaper in the country and can be found on
many sites online. A lot of people read their horoscopes daily in order to know what to expect during the day.
Horoscopes offer advice on behavior, love, money, and relationships in general. Many people trust the zodiac signs
as a way to find his or her soul mate. The basis of this belief is that two signs are more compatible with each
other than others are. If a person truly believes in this theory regarding zodiac compatibility, he or she may not
date anyone that is believed to conflict with his or her zodiac sign.
Astrology has been around for a long time, but it is still relevant today. This can be
seen by the large number of people who still follow and trust in their horoscopes.
