Are Cruise Ships Getting Too Big?
Are cruise ships getting too big? It depends upon who you ask. If you ask those who are in
charge of stocking the ship with food, with supplies, loading the luggage, and cleaning up after the passengers
depart, those in charge of throwing away the garbage after they are gone, these groups will definately respond that
cruise ships are getting too big.
If you ask those who collect all the voyage fees, those who count the items they sell,
those who entertain the passengers, those will tell you that the cruise ships should get bigger and bigger. They
count their income, their tips, the money they keep after purchasing all the supplies, and they would definately
reply that cruise ships should be built larger. They would propose to have the ships double the size. This would
mean that the money they were able to count, deposit, and spend after all expenses were paid would grow as the ship
size grows.
Are cruise ships getting too big? They are about as big as a small city now. They float on
water, but hardly no one within the bowels of the ship even knows that they are on water. The passengers enjoy the
ports where they spend a night. They enjoy the unique souvenirs they purchase where the ship stops for their
enjoyment. They love the time on dry ground, even though while on the large ship they don't even know they are on
water.
Are cruise ships getting too big? No. Why not make them as big as Tijuana or even Los
Angeles? Then they can take a small city of people wherever they desire to go. On the way they can entertain them,
collect fees when they gamble, entertain them and charge for extras. But more importantly, they can charge larger
fees to pay for the owners. Make them bigger and bigger, and I shall find stock in the cruise ships so I can enjoy
also...
